Disposition is the act of getting a resolution on a court case. Many court cases are "disposed" of by a trial with a judgment. Other times, parties enter into "stipulations" to conclude a matter. In some types of court systems, the judge and parties might decide together what the "disposition plan," will be. For example, a person in juvenile court might get a "disposition" plan that helps address the issues that generated a court case. When a person completes that plan, the Court will dispose of the case and conclude the matter.
