Gary Peterson is the owner and lead attorney for Peterson Legal Services, P.C., L.L.O. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, class of 1999. Gary started practicing law in 2000 in Broken Bow. He then moved his practice to Ord in 2016. Gary’s primary practice areas include estate planning, probate, criminal, juvenile, and family litigation, as well as real estate transactions and leases.
Gary’s hobbies include spending time fishing at Sherman Reservoir near Loup City, Nebraska, where he and his family reside. He also enjoys hunting including upland birds, waterfowl, and deer. Gary takes pleasure in league golfing at both Loup City and Calamus Golf Courses. He also spends time helping his family with many types of construction projects and has spent time as a volunteer coach for many years in youth baseball, youth basketball, and was a volunteer assistant for junior high football. He also enjoys bowling and has participated in league bowling in the past.
Gary has been involved with the Nebraska One Box since the year 2000 and during that time served as a new team score keeper for 17 consecutive years. He spent the last several years participating as a One Box Hunt Board Member. Gary also worked with the Nebraska Area Community Foundation to create the Thedford Area Community Foundation and served as the boards initial President. He also serves as a board member for GROW Nebraska. He was a member of Congressman Tom Osborn’s Rural Economic and Entrepreneurial Development Team. Gary appreciates spending time with his family, including his grandson. During the summer he likes fishing off his dock and boat.
