Many people have heard of this and it's also a pretty straight forward concept.  Many types of crimes and civil disputes are subject to statutes that limit a party's ability to bring their Complaint.  The statute lengths vary considerably.  Many types of land disputes are subject to Nebraska's 10 year limitation.  On the other hand, certain professional negligence civil lawsuits must be brought within one year.  Please contact our office if you have a claim that may expire or have other personal, relevant reasons.
